Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone was interested in this game. Playing with a party is a must, as teamwork is essential to defeating the onslaughts found in the battlefield series. Due to some issues with MW2, such as spawn points, lag, numerous glitches including the pave low and various weapons having attachments or iron sights that cause firearms to not fire where you aim, and constant server crashing, this game began to interest me. I have heard reviews from various sources and not only has the game been beta tested well, but it is nowhere near as flawed as MW2 could be. I was thinking about renting the game to see if it is as good as what people are saying and was wondering if others would want to put together a party on the PS3. Please post here with your ideas regarding BC2 vs MW2 and I am definitely interested in giving this game a serious once over. I think it might be a good idea to play a game that isn't chalked full broken crap AND BC2 DOES NOT HAVE PAINKILLER yay?

I LOVE this game. So many ways to kill people, and to die. The building damage is amazing. There is very little spawn killing, you can spawn literally on top of anyone in your squad. They actually make it so that gravity makes your bullets drop while using a sniper from long range. All the guns from MW2, and more. DLC coming soon, free of charge if you have the limited edition, and I think all the copies I saw were LE. Teamwork is a must in this game. I'll be playing this for a while. I usually hate games with vehicles, but I like the vehicles in this game, everything from choppers, to tanks, to ATVs. Besides, can't get any more annoying than a chopper gunner, right?

This game got a bad rep because of the problems with the first Bad Company. But I recommend this to any FPS fan.

No, the first one didn't get a bad rap, it sucked. Only 4 man squads.... the mics never worked.... only 1 online game mode..... BF:BC sucked huge balls! That is why BF:BC2 is getting a bad rap. I can guarantee that I won't be getting it (still only has 4 man squads, and no team chat).

I've tossed around the idea of picking this up because some of the reviews I've read have been pretty good. However, with a new map pack on the way for MW2 I just don't think I can commit to another shooter right now. If there was greater adoption of Bad Company 2 by the THB folks I'd probably be more inclined to pick it up but so far it's just hit and miss on my buddy list. I've still got Uncharted 2 and Final Fantasy 13 to get through also...oh, and God of War 3 coming out in 4 days.

It is really about personal preference. If you are going to continue to play MW2, I would switch to BC2. IW has NOT fixed the bugs in MW2 and they are beyond numerous. Lag coupled with bad hit registration, server crashes, bad connections, broken killstreaks, and gay perks/deathstreaks. BC2 has NONE of this. Also, vehicles are not a big threat once you pass the learning curve. While there might be less game modes, tdm, conquest (domination for COD players), and a match type similar to demolition/search and destroy that far surpasses both in enjoyability, there are hardcore modes for all of them and, for those who are curious, conquest is the standard Battlefield mode of gameplay.
Not being a big fan of the entire Battlefield series before, I rented this game to see how it plays. Dice did an awsome job with gameplay, as well as a total absence of lag, connection issues, etc that all plague MW2. Some might disagree, but I have yet to experience any of these problems and in a few days I will buy the game if the online continues to preform this well! I would say make this a sticky because it is important: BC2 is superior to MW2! Btw I am also a big fan of COD but, credit where credit is due, Dice has outdone themselves on this one. Also don't forget, environments are really as destructible as you have heard.
Another important note is that dlc will be FREE with this game if you buy a new copy (not used) and input your VIP code (as it should be with every game imo). How is this not a selling point? If your curious, give this game a try. You will be surprised how shortchanged we have all been by the gameplay in MW2, which while enjoyable could be SO MUCH BETTER.

IMPORTANT! If you pick this game up quick enough, you will get a V.I.P. ticket for free dlc. I am not sure if the ticket/offer is good for so hurry up and get online. If that does not make this game more appealing than MW2 idk what will. At least give it a shot, you will be pleasantly surprised by how much better it is.

This game is the shit, but I while continue to play MW2. BC2 is a fps like MW2 but a totally different style of game that is a good get away from MW2. The sound quality on this game is bad ass, especially with surround sound.

Playing this game on PC. Beautiful. Damn Beautiful. Favorite game I've played in a while, both the multiplayer and the singleplayer (Wait, there's a singleplayer?).
